Three components are involved...
1). An evening educational series for families of our residents and members of the campus community on a variety of topics involving senior care, issues and services,
2). A six-month advanced training for employees covering a variety of care giver issues including, but not limited to: The 36 Hour Day-Caring for Alzheimer’s, Professional Communication-Written and Verbal, Identifying signs of Burnout /Preventive Measures, The Whole Person Careplan, Looking Beyond Myself-A Team Approach to Assisted Living,
3). Eight hour orientation for potential employees to learn about the basic operations of Assisted Living and the job roles available. At conclusion of this program, participants will have a much better understanding of day to day life in an AL and will have the opportunity to apply for employment.
